2:10 pm	Туристическое агентство Арайот а-Арец 06.07.08 - воскресенье  Открываем новый маршрут!!!!!!! Мы посетим заповедник Дан - крупнейшие притоки реки Иордан берут свое начало именно отсюда. Симфония журчащей воды, бассейн с родниковой водой, где можно будет искупаться. Мы посетим столицу колена Дана, место где стоял Золотой Телец Северного царства, а также Ханаанейские ворота. Проедем по отрезку границы с Ливаном в районе скалы Манара и на местности поймем претензии террористов Хизбаллы по поводу горы Дов и узнаем историю сражения за воду,  послужившего одной из причин 6-ти дневной войны. Также посетим долину Ахула - полюбуемся на обитающих там в это время года аистов, зимородков, цапель и других птиц. Побываем на Тель Хай, послушаем его историю и посетим стеллу "Рычащий лев" на могиле Йосефа Трумпельдора и его товарищей.  Выезд в 8.00, возвращение в 20.00 Стоимость 95 шекелей. 11:52 am	russian in america Прекрасно жить в свободных Штатах При обеспеченных харчах, При  службе, при больших зарплатах, Автомобилях и домах! Здесь лишь одно немного грустно: Язык не тот. Не как в Москве. Не говорят они по-русски, Хоть кол теши на голове! Но к  трудностям такого сорта Любой из нас уже привык. Мы спикаем по-русски гордо, Мы кипаем родной язык. Мы соль не спилаем на раны, Подругу киссаем взасос, На службе  ранаем программы, Когда реквестает наш босс. Мы дринкаем сухие вина, Энджоем собственный уют, Мы лихо драйваем машины, Берем хайвей (когда дают). Когда окюрится  возможность, Возьмем э фью денечков офф, Махнем в апстейт по бездорожью, В лесу напикаем грибов, Накукаем такой закуски, Какой не видел целый свет! Дринкнем как  следует, по-русски! Кисснём жену на склоне лет! А то - возьмем большой вакейшен, Допустим, парочку недель, В Париже, в дистрикте старейшем Себе забукаем отель. А там - и  Рим не за горами, Мадрид, Берлин, едрена мать! Мы будем шопать в Амстердаме! Мы будем в Праге ланчевать! При наших, при больших зарплатах Нам вся Европа - по плечу! Ах,  хорошо в Юнайтед Штатах! Эх, травэляй, куда хочу! 6:57 pm	dog found A medium size “gingi” male dog (who is provisionally called Stevie, but obviously we don't know his real name) was found wandering round Herzliya around November 12. He is about 10 years old. When found, he smelled of shampoo. He has a chip, but sadly the number - 0001E28887 ­ does not appear in Israel’s Dog Register (Ma’agar Klavim). The Israeli importers say that they have destroyed their records from this early series. The manufacturer, Trovan, has been contacted in the States and is going to circulate its distributors worldwide. PLEASE spread the word, ask around, tell your vet, tell your friends and family. Can people pass this story on to journalists? Somebody is really missing this dog, and he is missing them!!! HELP REUNITE THEM!!!!! I have posted two pictures of the dog on the Koololev web site. 1:18 am	It's 1 am and I can't sleep. Too many things on my head: 1. our vacation which instead of being enjoyable to plan turned out to be stressful 2. my new job as a teacher 3. "tochnit hastage" in Bar Ilan 4. second year of MA 5. The question: are we moving or staying? My mind can't seem to focus on any one of these issues. 2:05 am	lights on shabbat According to the Jewish tradition, Moses recieved the written Torah on Mount Sini about 3,000 years ago. Together with this written Torah he recieved an oral commentary, what ecame known as the Oral Torah. Both the written and oral Torah are sacred to the Jewish nation and Jewish Law. In the written Torah (lit:teaching) there is a commandment to "keep the shabat (Saturday)"and a commandment to "remember the shabbat". The question arises: what does it mean to keep and remember shabat? how are those mental/emotional things expressed physically? The Oral Torah says: keeping the shabbat means not doing all the neggative commandements (the "don't do"s) while remembering shabbat means doing the possitive commandements--the "do"s. What are the possitive commandments? 1)to read "kidush"(lit. sanctification of the sabbath) on friday night and saturday morning. The tests for these kidushes are found in every sidur=jewish prayer book. Their function is to actualize, realize, the theoretical concept of "remembering"into physcial actions. In truth that is what Judaism is about: expressing religious ideas/conspets/beliefs/ and spiritual feelings into concrete, physical actions. What are the neggative commandements on Shabbat? The Oral torah tells us to look at the Tabernacle (mishkan) that the Jews build in the desert (see end of the book of Exodus): whatever actions were done there, that will be called "melacha", literally, work. It isn't work in the sense of än action difficult to do". But those actions fall into the HALACHIK category of work. (halacha=Jewish law). The Oral tradition categorizes the different kinds of work into 39 categories, called äv melachot. Everything that we know as forbiden now a days on Shabbat is forbiden because it falls into one of those 39 categories. What aout light? The Written Torah has only two prohibitions of Shabbat. The first one is lighting a fire. Thus, when in the 19th century electricity was descovered, the rabbis decided that electricity fell under the category of "lighting a fire"since when you turn on the light, a spart is created. 12:42 pm	sometimes i regret studying linguistics. I wish I studied literature. there are to many papers, thats true, but perhaps it would have been worth it. It's too late now... Sometimes i get annoyed that in linguistics there are so many undefined terms, everything is often is wishy washy. It makes me want to study math. Maybe I would have suceeded if I tried. Who kmows?
